Web site with poor traffic is of no use. If your web site does not have good traffic then What’s the point of having it? You put together a site that your proud of and taken great pains in making sure its laid out in exactly the way you want it. But if no one sees it, then all you have is something that you put long hours in creating with no money coming in.
Today we’ll get into some simple things you can do to improve your exposure and get that traffic flowing to your site. By employing these simple steps you’ll quickly have the traffic you need to start making some money. Traffic is everything. Now, there are a couple things I wanted to bring up. One being, many people get themselves working on to many traffic methods at the same time and you should probably pick 2 or 3 methods that have appeal to you, and become a master at those methods.
Here is why. If you spread yourself to thin then you will find very early on that you have no time for anything else and you will also find that you have never really mastered one of them. It’s important that take what you like and learn it from A to Z. This will produce for more positive results then you can imagine.
Make your web site search engine optimized. Your web site should have content that is rich in keywords which makes it easy for search engines to locate your page. A good ranking on a search engine results page will generate traffic on your web site.
Starting a business blog on your web site will help in generating traffic to your web site. I can’t put enough emphasis on this. The search engines love blogs. Now many are under the impression that they are a lot of work and they certainly can be. However if you have a solid game plan it shouldn’t be. One misconception is that you have to post every day. Not so, if you can get into the habit of posting just twice a weak you’ll gain the readership your looking for.
Article submission is a great way of generating traffic to your web site. You can write keyword rich articles and submit them to various article directories. Use the resource box of the article to add links to your web site to generate traffic to your web site. I hear a lot of complaining about how time consuming it is and if you can simply get in the habit of writing 2 or 3 articles in a day, you’ll find yourself over time doing this task in an hour to an hour and half.
You can use social networking web sites such as Squidoo and MySpace to generate traffic to your web site. These are 2 very powerful tools in your marketing arsenal. Go to Squidoo.com and poke around. These are fairly easy to put together and once you have done a couple of them it is really easy.
Forums, take advantage of them. Give your input and build links coming back to your blog or website. This is a great way build credibility and build trust as well as links. Yahoo answers and google offer up some great forums and more than likely you have the answers in your niche to the questions others are asking.
