Whether your blogging for business or your doing it for fun, there is really not much point in having a blog unless you are able have a lot of readers sharing in the process, and giving feedback and interacting with you. The are lots of ways to improve readership and today we’ll cover a few tips that will help.
It’s pretty hard to increase readership if you have very little to offer someone who arrives. I mean having one post up there is not going to create enough interests to keep them. For instance when I first started my 4 blogs, I made sure that I had plenty of post up, before I made an attempt to promote. But after that all was good and it was pretty easy to justify the effort of promotion, because there was plenty of good content there to maintain interests.
The other thing you want is to do is to create as much interactivity as possible via plugins and be active in communicating with your audience. People looking for information like to be involved. Pay close attention not to let commentors wait to long before you return the opinion or answer questions he or she may have. Another thing you can do, is to think of creating posts that are like a mini series where one posts builds on the next to come.
Now, as we know having a blog requires maintenance on a regular basis, and what I mean is maintaining the content and posting regularly. So many are under the impression that blogging is to labor intensive and are also lead to believe that you have to post every single day and that simply isn’t true. Posting every 2 to 4 days is plenty to maintain your blog and still be considered active.
It’s not so important as to the frequency that you post, but the quality of the content that you offer your readership. You should be able to put out content that your readership really wants to see and this is pretty easy to accomplish by simply asking them. You would be amazed at some the ideas that you’ll recieve and how others can really help you build a business through your blogs.
Having a blog is suppose to be fun, and having fun with it is paramount to your success if your blogging for a business. Let your customers get to know you and trust and you will be surprised at just how quickly the word spreads. One other thing I almost forgot to mention. Once you have this interactivity between you and your readership, try very hard not to engage in a battle of words so to speak.
